Behind the Scenes: landers & The Spoiled Mummy
Hey, guys! I’m doing something different for some of the upcoming posts here on this blog. Since the past few months have seen the birth of my video production company, Serica Visuals, I haven't had that much time to take a quick pause. A lot of new projects lined up sooner than I expected so on top of training my newfound team, I also had to roll with the punches of the video production grind.
As of this writing, we are 4 months into operating with my new startup and since day 1, everything flew by so fast. There's just not enough hours in a day ever since but writing this now I realised just how that makes everything so worth it! A huge reason why I think our progress has been quite rapid is because of the people in my team. One of them who truly deserves great credit is my first ever accounts intern, Kyla.
For this post, I'm letting her step in to dish out on her experience in working with the Serica Visuals team and our client, Landers. We also had our behind-the-scenes videographer, Joy, document our entire shoot process as I coach her on techniques in storytelling, filming and editing. That said, enjoy watching and let us know what you think!
About a few minutes into the shoot, the rain poured and it surely wanted its presence to be known. We had to take pauses in between because we wouldn’t be able to use the audio. This was also the day we first worked with our new intern, Joy, who was in-charge of taking behind-the-scenes footages. The store was huge and Grace had no problem picking out items that she wanted to try. By around 4PM, we got around to shooting the food at Landers Central to be followed by a quick break.
At one point, we all grabbed a chicken roll-up for a particular shot. This was all supposed to be just acting, but the moment we got the shot on camera, we immediately took a bite out of the food. (No regrets there) After that, the rest of the shoot went by quickly and we ended up having a blast! Watch this video and you'll see what I mean!
